Here's an interview with me that's just gone up on Greek website Blues.Gr ...
Sadly, the Craig Hughes Two set at the Vagabond Social Club on Friday Oct 3rd has been cancelled (along with the rest of the night - by which I mean that night's Vagabond Social Club, not Friday itself) due to the Roxy 171 closing down. No alternative arrangements could be made and here we are. Wishing the VSC all the best in their search for a new home.
Remember, Glasgow-types can still catch us at The Howlin' Wolf on Monday September 29th!
New Glasgow gig dates for the CH2

The tracks-list is: Tenement Porch Dog, Snake Oil Solution, Chemical Eye Damage, Lost, Punching Walls, Blues Like a Hammer, Overlong and Your New King. The album, a Channel Nowhere release, was produced by Chasar's Alec Pollock and Dog Moon Howl at The Boathouse, Alloa.
Dog Moon Howl album launch update
Cheers from Dog Moon Howl to everybody who turned up for yesterday's informal wee album launch and making it a good'un (thanks in particular to The Belafonte for an excellent set - check them out HERE). Getting good feedback on the album already; remember, it's available from tomorrow, folks!
Here are a few pics from the gig courtesy of Michael Greer:

Top way to spend your Saturday afternoon: matinee launch for the first album from Dog Moon Howl. The band will be playing a live set of the album in full after a guest turn from alt.rockers The Belafonte. Advance CD copies of the Dog Moon Howl album - released on the 30th - will be available at a special low price and cost of entry is up to you (donations at door).
All of this at the live room in The Audio Lounge rehearsal/recording studios just off the Maryhill Road (Unit B1 Glasgow North Trading Estate, 24 Craigmont Street, Glasgow); plenty of free onsite parking and just across from the shopping centre/Tesco bus stop. Bring your own booze (soft drinks also available from the venue). Mind, you'll be out in plenty of time for the pub.
New Glasgow date confirmed
The Craig Hughes Two will be playing The Howlin' Wolf, Glasgow on June 23rd.

Dog Moon Howl will be playing a special 'matinee' at The Audio Lounge in Glasgow on June 28th to launch our debut album. More details to follow.
General news update
There have been delays to the mixing and mastering of the Dog Moon Howl album due to my coming down with the mother of all eye infections in February (it was supposed to clear up in a fortnight but went on for over two months). This led to cancelled gigs and the likes but since then I've played a solo set at The Vagabond Social Club in Glasgow and a duo set at Record Store Day in Stirling (@ Europa Music), both of which went down rather well thank you very much. I've since finished the mixes on the DMH album - I'm getting the masters completed just now and starting work on the cover art to boot. We're looking at a June release.
I'm currently actively booking for the band and myself (solo and duo) so more live dates to be confirmed soon. In the meantime, I'm playing (solo) @ Slouch, Glasgow on Wednesday 30th April, 10pm kick-off. I'm getting into a whole guitar design/business thing as well, Zentone Guitars, more news on that as-and-when.
Do check out Europa Music if you're in the area (10 Friars Street, Stirling). Mad vinyl selection and stockists a variety of my stuff on CD!
Record Store Day
Looking forward to playing tomorrow's Record Store Day extravaganza at Europa Music in Stirling with Ally Tennick. We should be on @ 12:45.
Dog Moon Howl album news
Mixes are complete for Dog Moon Howl's first album, with mastering set for the coming week. 8 tracks, 40 minutes - as it should be. Keep an eye on www.dogmoonhowl.com for updates.
Vagabond Social Club mini-set confirmed for April
I'll be playing two or three fairly random covers in a "micro-set" at The Vagabond Social Club downstairs at The State, Glasgow on April 11th. This is a reschedule of last December's cancelled "midwinter special".
Record Store Day gig confirmed
The Craig Hughes Two will be playing April 19th's Record Store Day event at Europa Music in Stirling.
Vagabond Social Club set cancelled
It's with heavy heart and flammable eyeball* that I have to announce the cancellation of The Craig Hughes Two's set at this Friday's Vagabond Social Club. I've got some mental eye condition that I'm informed won't be cleared up in time for the gig. Genuinely gutted about this one - the last time we played the VSC we had a great night and we'd have been playing with The Dirt this time which is always a pleasure. Ah well.
Please do still pop along on the night (Friday 7th - tomorrow! - downstairs @ The State, 8PM). It'll be a good one.
*I've been given a largely kerosene-based ointment to put on my eye several times daily, so I'm assuming I should be extra careful when blowing-out candles.
April Glasgow date confirmed
I'll be playing at Slouch, Glasgow's late night blues session on Wednesday 30th April.
Edinburgh gig rescheduled
The solo gig in Edinburgh (Foalkies @ The Royal Oak) originally scheduled for Monday, June 2nd has been moved to Monday, July 7th.
Dog Moon Howl gig cancellation
From www.dogmoonhowl.com: You may have noticed a sudden change to the 13th Note's listing page. That's right folks, some strange retroactive double booking of the least impressive order means that the Glitterball Vegas/Dog Moon Howl/Traquair gig is off. Somebody's fault, clearly, but not ours. Or Glitterball Vegas'. Or Traquair's.
New Glasgow date confirmed
The Craig Hughes Two returns to The Vagabond Social Club downstairs at The State Bar in Glasgow on Friday March 7th. Also on the bill are Michael Angus and The Dirt, all for a paltry £4. Cheap bar, too. Threatens to be a good night, then.

Live dates added
First bookings of the year are already starting to come in. Pleased to say I'll be playing a solo set at Foakies @ The Royal Oak in Edinburgh on June 2nd. Full details, reminders and the likes nearer the date - in the meantime you can't say you haven't had plenty notice!
Also, I'll be playing with Dog Moon Howl at the 13th Note in Glasgow on March 22nd with Glitterball Vegas (the recording is finished for the Dog Moon Howl album; there'll be a break before final mixing. Sounding good so far).
